Step 2: Complete the Kelley online application
Complete the online Kelley Direct application - click here. All applicants to Kelley Direct must have their applications complete and received by the Kelley Direct Office of Admissions by the date indicated above. Applications received after that date will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on space availability. Please note there is no fee for this application.
Step 3: Send required documentation to Kelley
Please collect the required documentation listed below and mail it to Kelley Direct. Pay special attention to the Academic Records section. If the original document is not in English an official, exact (literal) English translation is necessary.
(a) Academic Records:
Submit official academic records in the original language from every postsecondary school you have attended, whether or not you obtained a degree. If the original document is not in English, also provide an official, exact (literal) English translation. Records must be issued by the registrar or record-keeping official from the institution at which the work was completed. Notarized copies of academic records are not acceptable.
(b) Letters of Recommendation:
Submit two letters of recommendation - Contact people who will write letters of reference on your behalf; ask them if they are willing to submit the reference online. If so, be sure you have their preferred email address. If not, have them write a letter of reference on letterhead and send the letter of reference to Kelley Direct in a sealed and signed envelope. Have them place your name in the bottom left hand corner of the envelope.
If willing to submit online, be sure to include the names and email addresses of the two people who will be submitting letters of reference on your behalf in the "Recommendations" section of the University application.
(c) Personal Statement: (Save your Personal Statement and Resume as one file to upload in IU application)
Write your personal statement. (A statement, approximately 500 words, that identifies your academic goals, career objectives, why you are applying to this program, and the qualifications you have that make you a strong candidate for this program.)
(d) Updated Resume
Update and submit your resume. (Save with your Personal Statement in one file)
(e) Required Supporting Materials:
Submit GMAT Scores. Unofficial GMAT scores can be submitted and used for an Admission decision until the originals are available. See www.mba.com for more information. When you take the GMAT, have your scores sent to Kelley Direct (code GKS-8M-09) or select Indiana University Bloomington Kelley Direct. In addition, fax your unofficial score report to Kelley Direct (317-274-7301)
(f) TOEFL score:
All applicants whose native language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit an acceptable score (see TOEFL requirements) to the Kelley Direct Office of Admissions in order to receive full consideration. To ensure timely processing of your TOEFL score, please mail your score directly to the Kelley Direct (score report can also be faxed or scanned and emailed), rather than through your agency. The Kelley Direct code to have your TOEFL results submitted is 1324/99. The minimum TOEFL results required the degree program are a paper-based score of 550, a computer-based minimum of 213, and an internet-based minimum of 79+. There are no exceptions to these requirements.
Kelley Direct is not responsible for materials sent to another office on campus in error or materials that are labeled incorrectly.
Admission Decision:
In Kelley Direct, we operate on a rolling admission process. This means that once your applications to both the University Office of International Admissions and the Kelley Direct are complete, and you have submitted all supplemental information, an admission decision will be made and you will be notified of an admission decision from Indiana University and the Kelley Direct as soon as possible. You should expect a decision from us three weeks.
