Cummins: Application Process
Cummins managers nominate high-potential candidates who have worked at Cummins for a minimum of two years. Once approved by the selection committee, the candidates then have to complete IU’s application process. IU will then choose that most competitive students to fit the class.

Application Form
You will be required to complete a Kelley Direct admission application form with details of your personal, biographical, academic, and employment background.
When submitting the Kelley Direct application, "upload" the file containing your personal statement and resume. Be sure to include the name and email address of the person who will be submitting a letter of reference on your behalf in the "Recommendations" section of the application.

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)
GMAT is a test of general skills administered in English by the Pearson VUE; it is designed to help business schools assess the skills of potential applicants. All students are required to submit GMAT scores.
Prepare for, register, and take the GMAT. See www.mba.com for more information. When you take the GMAT, have your scores sent to Kelley Direct (code GKS-8M-09). In addition, fax your unofficial score report to Kelley Direct (317-274-7301). Your unofficial score report may be mailed to Kelley Direct instead (see #6).
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
If English is not your native language, you must demonstrate proficiency in English prior to admission. To meet IU's minimum standard for acceptance to any graduate or professional program you are required to submit your TOEFLscores.
Prepare for, register, and take the TOEFL (if needed). See www.toefl.org for more information. When you take the TOEFL, have your scores sent to Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (code 1325). In addition, fax your unofficial score report to Kelley Direct (317-274-7301). Your unofficial score report may be mailed to Kelley Direct instead (see #6). TOEFL minimums: 550+ (paper version/PBT) or 213+ (computer-based version/CBT) or a provisional minimum of 79+ (internet-based version/ kBT ).
Academic Prerequisites
You are required to have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. IU will look at the cumulative grade point (or equivalent) average from each institution you have attended, your area of concentration, and the trend of your grades.
Contact all post-secondary institutions attended and request original academic records be sent to you in a sealed and signed envelope. Make arrangements to have academic records translated (if necessary).
Letter of Recommendation
IU will review your letter of recommendation to gain a more complete understanding of who you are academically and professionally. As such, the most valuable letter of recommendation comes from someone who knows you well in one or both of these capacities.
Contact a person who will write a letter of reference on your behalf; ask them if they are willing to submit the reference online. If so, be sure you have their preferred email address. If not, have them write a letter of reference on letterhead and send the letter of reference to you in a sealed and signed envelope.
Personal Statement
IU will require you to submit a personal statement. This section of the application is an opportunity to demonstrate your writing competency and communication skills, give examples of your leadership abilities, and discuss career goals. Provide any information that will help us decide if you can benefit from and contribute to Kelley Direct Programs.
Write your personal statement. (A statement, approximately 750 words, that identifies your academic goals, career objectives, why you are applying to this program, and the qualifications you have that make you a strong candidate for this program.)
Resume
You will be required to submit a copy of your most recent resume to IU.

Mailing Records
When you have received all academic records, send them (unopened) along with a copy of your unofficial score report/s (if not faxed), your letter of reference (unopened, if not submitted online), a copy of your permanent resident card (if required), and your personal statement and resume to:
