transfer form

If you are a student at a Kelley School of Business Graduate Degree program and you meet its retention guidelines, you are welcome to request a temporary or permanent transfer to another MBA program within the Kelley School of Business.

TEMPORARY TRANSFER: If you intend to remain with your home program but wish to take some courses from another program, you should meet with your present MBA program to choose appropriate classes and request a seat in those classes. Your program will need to help you choose courses that will meet the degree requirements for your campus and they will communicate with the MBA program you wish to visit to gain approval. All temporary transfers will pay their home program tuition and fee rates.

PERMANENT TRANSFER: To transfer to another Kelley School of Business MBA program permanently, contact your current MBA program to begin processing the paperwork. You will work directly with your current MBA to gain admission into the MBA program you wish to permanently transfer. At the time the permanent transfer is complete, the transferring students will pay their new program tuition and fee rates. However, if a student's original program is at least 75 % completed at the time of the transfer, he or she will pay the original program fee rates for the remaining courses.

Program transfer students are eligible to register at the same time as current students. Please note that the Kelley Direct Programs generally operate on 12 week terms, while the Bloomington and Indianapolis programs operate on semesters. It is important to communicate with your home program to determine the registration deadlines of the program to which you wish to transfer.
